So here they are, my final images for interpreting Oranges and not the only fruit into a three high fashion editorial images...
The First Image - breakdown
Styling: A similar alternative to her bright pink rain coat and the socks represent her innocence.
Hair: Looking home cut and short on the forehead, naturally wavy and looking unstyled.Makeup: Freckles, porcine looking skin to again show her innocence, slightly contoured and removal of eyes brows which shows symbolizes her lack of self structure and independence.
Lighting: Natural light on the face looking over exposed, spiritual.
Positioning: The positioning of the model shows a small space representing her small world at this time within her life. Her world is her religion and her mother. She is completely focuses on the bible.Surroundings/Location: Inside the church, I chose this particular place because although the lighting is very clean, when you look closer you can see cracks and imperfection underneath the white paint on the walls and around the window. A symbolism of what is to come for her character...
The Second Image - breakdown
Styling: The white of Jeanette's dress represents her connection with her innocence portraying her naivety, Melanie's colours are bright and bold contrasting against Jeanette. Melanie is the symbolism for the bright and colourful wide world outside of Jeanette's small life.
Hair: Jeanettes is covering most of her face but is still showing the direction of her face, it looks more tame than previously - development of her finding her feminine beauty and attraction. Melanie's hair is naturally wavy and feminine, harshly contrasting against Jeanette's character
Makeup: Melanie is naturally beautiful, she is the symbol for beauty - red lips for love and danger.
Positioning: Jeanette's body positioning is showing her being magnetized towards Melanie sexually. Almost looks supernatural. Her position looks uncomfortable showing how she is going through uncomfortable and confusing changes and emotions within herself.
Lighting: Natural lighting reflecting against the church windows, highlighting their faces and clothing.
Location: the red bricks of the church symbolize the theme of oranges, and also danger and lust. This also contrasts against the clothing making both characters seem out of place representing the next stage in the book where the two are removed from church after trying to remove the devil from inside the two of them.
The Third Image - breakdown
Styling: The colour of blue is the same colour which symbolises Saint Mary mother of Christ, which is ironic due to her position after being removed from the church. The red on the shoes symbolises pain, love and hurt.
Hair: Her hair has been tied back showing her facial expression, her hair no longer takes over her face which is a representation of how she is finding her own identity and stopped living by her mothers way of life.
Makeup: red lipstick and heavier contouring under cheekbones, highlighting of the cheekbones
Positioning: Stamping on the orange showing how she is removing herself from the life her mother wanted her to live and is now taking her own life into her hands and becoming educated and independent.

Lighting: Slightly darker showing a harder time in the characters life, though contrasting bright and light colours of the clothing which portray a calm road ahead for her character.
Location: Leaving the church, white of the bricks and wooden doors contrast against the once over powering collection of red bricks...
